Dreamer...

“You may say I’m a dreamer but I’m not the only one….”You’ve all heard this quote; the famous lyrics were written and performed by John Lennon. The beautiful song asks listeners to imagine a world of universal peace and brotherhood. Of course I’ve heard the song many times and I wish and dream for the same. When I hear injustices around the world, and ignorance that seems to spread like wildfire- who wouldn’t want to dream of a world of unity? Do you also share John Lennon’s dream?

When I see this quote alone I think of the famous “Imagine” song, but as a daydreamer, I dream of many things. I dream of inspiring others and being happy in every aspect of my life. I dream dreams for the people I love and care for. I dream that their dreams become realities.

My dream for several years has been to start this blog. I dream of a platform to share my stories, experiences, and lessons learned. Over the years, I’ve deferred my dream for fear of the consequences of putting myself “out there”, making myself vulnerable to the public, fear of failure, fear of jeopardizing my time to devote the upkeep of a blog, and endless other excuses. At the end of the day I chose to try. I hope that my words touch someone who needs them and I hope it inspires them to aim for reaching their dreams and letting go of the fears that creep up on us.To all the dreamers out there, let’s be courageous, dream, believe, and achieve! <3 Big Sis
